Alluvium 2001
80% Cabernet, 12% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot
Alluvium derives its name from the soil types that it is grown on. Like the soils the wine is deep in colour, rich and complex. Cabernet provides the framework, Merlot the meat, Petit Verdot the muscle tone. Only the best barriques & best years are accepted into this flagship wine, hence in some years it is not made at all!

| | | | Juicy ripe dark plums and cherries
| | Huge array of flavours including dark chocolate, anise, vanilla, mint, dark plums and berries. It is a rich, round and smooth on the palate with silky tannins giving length and structure to the wine.
| | | | Will Cellar very well 10 years+ but also is a sensational drink now with 4 years bottle age.
| | Try this with aged beef and a reduced red wine sauce. However we have been know to drink it with garfish, salads, paella and makes for a sensational celebration regardless of a meal!
