Our Alfresco Dining has re-opened!

PRESS RELEASE: Regular ‘Iron Chef’ and protégé join Boynton’s for the re-opening of ‘Alfresco Dining’ restaurant.

Regular ‘Iron Chef’, Ikuei Arakane, (known as ‘Kin San’), and his humbly devoted protégé and talented Head Chef, Eddie Huynh, join the team at Boynton’s for the re-opening of their lunch time ‘Alfresco Dining’ restaurant from Saturday, 15th of October 2011. “We are absolutely thrilled to have Kin San and Eddie join the team and extremely excited about what they will bring”, said Kel Boynton, owner and winemaker of Boynton’s Feathertop Winery.

Exec Chef Kin San, (100 Mile Café, Pan Asian, Taxi Dining Room), and Eddie Huynh, (Taxi Dining Room, 100 Mile Café, Bistro Guillaume & The Courthouse Restaurant) embark on a culinary adventure in the Alpine Valley. They will be creating a mouth watering a la carte menu fused from French & Japanese influence, utilising as much fresh local produce as possible.

‘Alfresco Dining’ (previously ‘Boynton’s Café’) located on the newly re-surfaced lower terrace, overlooks the vineyard with spectacular views of the majestic Mt Buffalo.

Bookings are recommended as seating is limited. Visit this page regularly for information on open days and special events. Come and experience this casual dining environment, complimented by a local produce deli section available in our cellar door.

Private degustation dinners, Eddie’s specialty, are available at Boynton’s for groups of 6 – 10 people, in the apartment above the cellar door. Food and wine is included. Contact the winery for more information, or to book your next function.

Alfresco Dining Restaurant

Our lower terrace at Boynton's Feathertop Winery boasts our Alfresco Dining a la carte experience, a lunch menu designed to leave an impression.

The menu is slightly different to last year, when this year, the special 'Proudly Porepunkah' experience will be comprised of an entrée and a main off the menu, selected by the chef each day, at $45 per head. It will be dependent on the availability of what is fresh from the farm and can be locally sourced.

This area of dining is exclusive and fully serviced, allowing you to sit back, relax and take your time to soak in the surroundings of Mount Buffalo and the beautiful Alpine Valley.

The cafe is re-opening on the 15th of October and will be open FRI/SAT/SUN throughout November & December, and everyday through January. Running throughout the summer months and into autumn up until Mother's Day in May.

DIY Deli



Every day at Boynton's you can enjoy the DIY Deli, allowing you to create your own platters from a selection of fresh, locally grown and homemade produce.

Choose what tempts you from an assortment of foods, buy a glass (or a bottle) of wine and sit back on the upper terrace while you watch the world go by.

The deli is open 7 days from 10am until 5pm.
