2001 Boyntons Chardonnay ‘Bullrush’ |
|
A very attractive 4-year-old Chardonnay, with hints of stone fruit and ripe, melony character. The palate shows butterscotch and a little toasty oak, yet has lovely length and finishes dry and crisp. Elegance is the trademark of this wine. Drinking beautifully now and for at least the next year or two. |

A relatively unknown variety from the Piedmont region of Italy where it is also known as White Barolo. In Australia the King Valley growers including the Pizzini families have been growing it for some time, often producing outstanding wines. The wines made from this variety are quite Sauvignon Blanc like – fresh, fruity and well balanced acidity.
Our 2004 Wine Club Special Release Arneis is a great food wine that has subtle fruit flavours of nectarines, pears, apples, honeydew and an almondy flavour that is quite specific to this variety. The palate is smooth, full and round making it an easy drinking food friendly wine. |

2004 Feathertop Pinot Gris |
|
This is also the fourth vintage of Pinot Gris off the steep, rocky hillside. It is showing lots of white nectarine, kiwi fruit, citrus and nashi pear aromas. The palate is fresh and lively with good weight, complexity and is distinctly minerally with fruit flavours of pear, lime and honeysuckle.

2004 Feathertop Sauvignon Blanc |
|
Region: Alpine Valleys, North East Victoria
Colour: White gold
This is the fourth vintage of Sauvignon Blanc off the steep, rocky Boynton’s hillside vineyard and is showing more mature and complex aromatic character. It has a classic aroma profile for the variety, but tends to the more tropical end of the spectrum with loads of passionfruit, guava and white peach braced by a flinty, minerally edge. More than just zesty freshness, this has a bit of weight and presence. Luscious ripe mango, pineapple and kiwi flavours are nerved by a splash of lime juice. The prickling acid finish and clean fruit profile beg for a spring salad of asparagus, fava beans, pancetta and parmesan drizzled with lovely, fruity olive oil. This wine is sensational as a meal on its own…no food required!! or with a seared scallop salad.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2 years for optimal aromatic intensity
