All our staff and most grape growers and winemakers I know refer to 2011 as being a ‘bastard’ or a ‘bitch’ of a year.  As we at Boyntons could only find enough grapes to make two white wines we actually called them the Bastard and the Bitch.  While the Bastard which you have had was fruity and racy, this one, the Bitch is fuller and more subdued.  It is an easy drinking wine without a lot of WOW factor, but as a friend of ours who was staying with us just this weekend past said “I’m really getting to like this Bitch”!
