Boynton’s Feathertop Winery has a fantastic team environment with all members working together by multitasking through many of our wineries disciplines.
If you are coming through our Cellar Door, you will most likely meet Rose, Vick, Eliza, Kat, or Pete (sometimes Kylie). Our knowledgeable and educated team members have kindly taken the time to indulge in numerous wine tastings, ensuring we have our product up to scratch and that all the tasting notes are accurate.
Rose & Kylie are our Wine Club (known as Summit Cru) experts. With four deliveries a year, our team have their work cut out for them. Summit Cru is at the heart of our winery; our members are integral to Boynton’s and the development of our product. With special releases including small parcels of Tempranillo and Sangiovese, Col has his work cut out for him putting all the Summit Cru cases together.
Janelle, Jodie and Kylie work in the upstairs office. Jodie works primarily with the Boynton’s finances, local and national sales. Janelle is in the field of project management and is our all encompassing business manager. In between working in her architectural business, being a board member on Tourism Victoria, she finds the time to run the indoor office at Boynton’s. Kylie is responsible for coordinating functions & events, managing the Feathertop Apartment; and finally, Eliza coordinates the PR and marketing for all the winery's departments. When you're phoning through to Boynton's Feathertop Winery, you're bound to talk to one of them.
Boynton's winery welcomed the return of executive chef Ikuei Arakane (Kin San), who lead the kitchen team responsible for delivering the Alfresco Dining & Proudly Porepunkah experience on the lower terrace. We look forward to continuing to deliver great food in the Alfresco Dining Restaurant until handing Ikuei back over to Melbourne's top restaurants. In the meantime, your hungry tummies can continue to be fed by the Deli which is operational 7 days throughout the year by our Cellar Door staff.
Our outdoor staff consists of Kel and Col. Kel is our head winemaker and viticulturalist with Jo Marsh also at the helm, and Col has his day filled by helping Kel to harvest, blend and bottle the Feathertop Wine. The boys manage 50 acres of vines and are responsible for over 12,000 cases of wine.
